NEWPORT, R.I. (Monday, April 5, 2021) - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman infielder Maddie Capetta (Raritan, N.J.) as its Rookie of the Week for softball (week ending April 4).

CCC Rookie of the Week - Capetta opened the week with five consecutive two-hit performances and slugged the first of five Seahawk home runs in one inning (against Curry) as Salve Regina rolled to a 4-2 weekly record. Capetta, who hit safely in six games, batted .550 (11-for-20) with one double, one triple and two home runs, while driving in and scoring six runs.

Salve Regina 4-2 (4-2 CCC) resumes its six-game series with Western New England on Wednesday at Toppa Field before beginning a similar set with the University of New England on the weekend.
