CCC Pitcher of the Week: Jaycee Garrigan

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 29, 2019) -- The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University sophomore Jaycee Garrigan (Uxbridge, Mass.) as its pitcher of the week for softball (April 22-28).
Pitcher of the Week - Garrigan tossed a pair of complete-game shutouts, ending her week with a 2-0 record and a spotless 0.00 ERA, while allowing just three hits and one walk in 13 innings of work. Garrigan's best start was a two-hit shutout of Eastern Connecticut State, currently ranked fifth in the New England regional rankings. She struck out five and did not walk a batter. Garrigan closed out the regular season by hurling a one-hit, walk-free shutout against CCC rival Wentworth.
Salve Regina (21-18, 9-7) finishes the regular season tied for third place with Western New England University with the Golden Bears breaking the deadlock for seeding purposes based on their superior result against the No. 5 seed Roger Williams University. The No. 4 seed Seahawks will play the Hawks at Beverly, Mass., on Thursday, May 2, at 12 p.m., with the winner immediately facing No. 1 seed Endicott College.
