MEDFORD - Nicole Parry and Kelsey Boarman combined on a three-hit shutout as the Salve Regina University softball team stayed alive in game four of the NCAA Regional on Saturday with a 5-0 victory over Becker College

The Seahawks (25-17) will play host Tufts in an elimination game on Saturday at 4 pm. The winner will advance to the Regional championship round on Sunday against WPI. The Engineers need only one win to capture the Regional title. Game time is 12 noon, with an if-necessary game to follow.

Salve scored the game's first run in the bottom of the third with a two-out rally. Amanda Riley doubled to left-center, took third on a single down the left-field line by Francesca Galeazzi, and scored on another single to left by Lindsey Florent.

In the fourth, after a lead-off single by Kara O'Riley, Seahawk senior Genevieve Benoit blasted a two-run home run to left-center giving Salve a 3-0 lead. They would continue to add on with two more in the fifth. Riley and Florent singled and scored on a two-run base hit by O'Riley for a 5-0 Seahawks advantage.

Meanwhile, Parry allowed just two hits in four innings while earning her 12th win. Becker's Samantha Lee singled with one out in the second, but was caught stealing third later in the inning. Jessica Wheelahan hit a two-out single for the Hawks in the fourth and took second on a wild pitch. Parry finished her outing with a fly-ball out though.

Boarman allowed just a one-out single by pinch-hitter Vasia Murphy in the sixth during her two innings to earn a save.

After rapping out 13 hits on Friday, Salve had 11 more against Becker. Riley finished 3 for 3 with two runs, while O'Riley had a 2 for 3 game with two rbis and a run. Galeazzi was 2 for 4 at the top of the order and Florent went 2 for 4 with a run and an rbi.
