CLERMONT, Fla. - Salve Regina University softball (2-6) ended its Florida trip the same way it started ... leading in a game that got cancelled due to foul weather. Before that, the Seahawks defeated Worcester State University, 4-2, behind the six-hit complete-game effort from senior pitcher Nicole Parry (Quincy, Mass.).
Series and Streaks
Seahawks and Lancers meet for the second time ever in softball, and first since Worcester State won 5-2 in 2008 in Fort Myers, Fla. Hendrix, a Division III school from Conway, Ark., has never played Salve Regina in any sport. Seahawks led 3-1 after two completed innings.
