TCCC pushes games back one day due to weather; Seahawks begin play Wednesday

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University softball team's first The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) playoff contest has been pushed back from Tuesday, April 27 to Wednesday, April 28.

Due to the pending inclement weather this afternoon, the conference has decided to push both of its first round, single-elimination games to Tuesday. As a result, the No. 4 seed Seahawks will have to wait one more day to have their first opponent determined; they will face either No. 5 Anna Maria College or No. 8 New England College at Endicott College in Beverly, Mass on Wednesday. The game will begin at 2:30 p.m.

In other TCCC playoff action, No. 6 Curry will face No. 7 Nichols in the other play-in game on Tuesday in Milton, Mass. The winner of that contest will face No. 3 Western New England College at the University of New England on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. No. 1 Endicott will face the winner of the Anna Maria/NEC vs. Salve Regina winner on Wednesday, and No. 2 University of New England will face the winner of the Nichols/Curry vs. WNEC contest on Wednesday as well.
