HONOLULU, HAWAII - Salve Regina University sailors spent 10 days in Hawaii and came away with a championship at the fifth annual Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite.

Salve Regina was victorious in both A and B Divisions, defeating teams from the West Coast, Hawaii and Japan, while sailing on 420s and FJs in the fleet-scoring event honoring the memory of former University of Hawaii sailor, Peter McGonigle Wenner.

"After eight days of intense training at University of Hawaii, it was great to be able compete and implement all the improvements made during training," said assistant coach Michael Komar.

Salve Regina looks to continue the trend in Charleston, S.C., in February when the Seahawks complete at the College of Charleston Spring Intersectional.
