JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Salve Regina University sailing team flew to Florida this past weekend to compete in the Atlantic Coast Tournament held at Jacksonville University.

After a slow start the Seahawks came on strong to close within three points of second place. The team of seniors Peter Pellegrini (Kingston, Mass.) and Sarah Muzyka (South Yarmouth, Mass.) sailed in A-division while juniors Kyle Carney (Newport, R.I.) and Mary Zeolla (Simi Valley, Calif.) sailed in B-division.

Together they beat the United States Coast Guard Academy, Northeastern University, Bates, William and Mary, Eckerd, Virginia as well as many others. The team will rest until the end of February when it begins practice and the trek for the national championship.
