Lippincott, Poole lead Seahawks to qualify for Hoyt Intersectional Regatta

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Salve Regina University sailing team finished fifth overall at the Barnett Trophy hosted by Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

Sailing in A-Division, sophomores Bob Lippincott (Oxford, Md.) and Jennifer Poole () came on strong during the second day of the Barnett Trophy at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. They finished just two points behind the first-place Dartmouth team.

In B-Division, freshman skipper Gena Marquardt () and sophomore crew Chris Jensen (Mountain View, Calif.) sailed well enough to give the team a fifth-place finish overall. Salve Regina qualified to compete at the Hoyt Intersectional Regatta to be held at Brown University on October 22.
