WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Salve Regina University men's cross country team finished 24th at the 14th annual James Earley Invitational at Stanley Park Saturday morning.

The Seahawks - who finished with 669 points - were paced by sophomore James Weselcouch (East Haddam, Conn.), who finished in 139th place with a time of 29:58. Sophomore Brian Dagliere (North Haven, Conn.) was next for the Seahawks in 193rd place with a mark of 31:19.

Sophomore August Reid (Marlborough, Mass.) was third in 196th place with a time of 31:21, and senior Ryan Hurley (Barrington, R.I.) (245th place, 33:57) and sophomore Grant Olsen (Bay Head, N.J.) (248th place, 34:06) rounded out the top five for Salve Regina.

Vassar College took first-place in the event with 75 points, followed by Westfield State with 122 points and Trinity College with 126 points. The highest finisher among The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) participants was New England College, which placed 9th overall with 317 points.

The Seahawks return to action on Saturday when they race at Connecticut College at 11 a.m.
