Fritsch, Weselcouch pace Seahawk men's cross country at UMass Dartmouth

NO. DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Salve Regina University men's cross country team in 35th place finish (out of 36 schools) at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners' Invitational.

 

The Seahawks were paced by freshman Sean Fritsch [Manchester, Conn.] and sophomore James Weselcouch [East Haddam, Conn.], both of whom completed the five-mile distance under 30 minutes, which was a pre-season goal for each of them. Fritsch finished 181st with a time of 29:07 (a 5:52 per mile pace), while Weselcouch finished 195th with a time of 29:34 (a 5:57 per mile pace).

 

Completing the scoring for the Seahawks were sophomore Mark Reid [Marlborough, Mass.], finishing 228th with a time of 31:23, followed by sophomores Brian Dagliere [North Haven, Conn.] and Michael Stankus [Cropseyville, N.Y.], both finishing with identical times in 32:27 at 238th and 239th place, respectively
