PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Jon Trevethan, Roger Williams

Trevethan was a dominant player in the league this year, putting together perfect records playing at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. In singles, he posted a perfect 8-0 record, winning every match in straight sets. Included in those set wins were seven 6-0 victories and he never dropped more than three games in any set during the season. He was equally as impressive in doubles play, once again earning an 8-0 record. Five of his doubles wins were 8-0 decisions and he never dropped more than three games in any doubles match.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Ned Batstone, Salve Regina

With the limited conference schedule this year, Batstone had a difficult draw during his first-year campaign, matching with the league's top player in half of his singles matches. However, he proved competitive as the only player to take more than three games from this year's CCC Player of the Year. He took six games in that match, doubling the total of any other competitor. He served as the No. 1 for the Seahawks in both singles and doubles.

CCC SCHOLAR-ATHLETE

Will Jeffreys, Gordon

Jeffreys is enrolled in one of the most demanding academic tracks at Gordon, biology and health professions. Despite that he has been able to maintain a 3.62 GPA, while also being heavily involved around campus. He participates at part of the symphonic band and works at Gordon's Careers and Connections Institute where he is helping them build out their new medical guidebook. He has begun preparing for the MCAT and has been completing an internship at John Hopkins working on study on muscular dystrophy.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Barry Gorman, Roger Williams

Gorman collects his third CCC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year award this year having received the honor previously in 2015 and 2016. His Roger Williams was dominant this year going a perfect 8-0 during the regular-season, including a 5-0 mark in conference play. Of his teams eight victories six came way of a 9-0 decision. In total, the Hawks only took three losses as part of dual matches.
