Summary
NEWPORT, R.I. - After going through the gauntlet of top men's tennis teams in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Western New England University came to Newport and posted its league victory of the season with a 9-0 decision against Salve Regina University.

The Golden Bears improved to 4-6 overall and 1-3 in CCC play; the Seahawks suffered their first loss after back-to-back non-conference victories to fall to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the league.

Series and Streaks
The Seahawks won the first three meetings (2008, 2009, 2010) after the Golden Bears joined the league. Western New England has won the last seven meetings including the last two by a combined 18-0 score.
