POSTGAME THOUGHTS FROM COACH O'ROURKE

"I thought today was a little bit of a tale of two halves. We started out very slow and lackluster in the first half and did not really start to wake-up and play until about the 20th minute and definitely after the opponent put the first goal up on the scoreboard. I was concerned that the postponement of the match from yesterday to today was going to throw off our normal cadence and disrupt our preparation and with the way we opened the match, I seemed to have been justified in my concerns. But I thought once the halftime break came and went that we approached the second half with a very different mindset and tried to get more on the ball and play on the front foot. Jordan Borges was good for us today and produced probably the majority of our chances. Liam Berlingieri was lively on the width and is continuing to grow into his role with each match. We altered our substation-pattern today, particularly with our strikers, in an effort to keep a maximum work-rate on the field and up top at all times. Brandon Frank really exemplified that today with the minutes that he contributed. His pace and desire to get on the end of balls allowed him to create the scoring chance that produced the penalty kick and eventual game-winning goal. Then he followed that up by running down Evan Arpin's free kick and finishing it to the far post for our fourth tally of the match. He came off the bench and was a real difference-maker today for us!"
