Borges and Arpin add All-American to their resume

Jordan Borges and Evan Arpin were named Scholar All-Americans.

NEWPORT, R.I. Salve Regina University men's soccer juniors Evan Arpin (Andover, Mass.) and Jordan Borges (Milford, Mass.) have each been named Scholar All-American by the United Soccer Coaches.

Head coach Craig O'Rourke II on his two Scholar All-Americans:

"Words cannot describe how elated our program is for Evan and Jordan to be named Scholar All-Americans.  I've always considered the moniker of 'All-American' to be the highest possible distinguishment that a student-athlete can garner during their time in college and with this award, Evan and Jordan become the sixth and seventh All-Americans in the history of our program. I've spoken many times about the commitment and dedication that it takes for a student-athlete to be named Academic All-Conference or even Academic or Scholar All-Region as we have had many earn these awards in the past. But Evan and Jordan's level of commitment really is something special … their abilities and awareness on the field is really only matched by their commitment and dedication to their studies.  I just want their commitment to rub off on their teammates and underclassmen so that we, as a program, can look to take the next big step forward and get back to competing on the national stage in the NCAAs. But for now, I could not be happier for the two of them to gain this level of recognition!"
