SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 23, 2019) -- The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman goalkeeper Seth Wolins (Wake Forest, N.C.) as its defensive player and rookie of the week for men's soccer.

CCC Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week - Wolins picked up a pair of clean sheets this week as the Seahawks went 1-0-1. He picked up his first shutout of the week in a 90-minute showing at Coast Guard. He made six saves in the contest, including two game-changing stops, helping Salve Regina earn the 1-0 victory. He followed that up with another six-save performance in his team's CCC opener against Endicott. He played all 110 minutes as the two teams played to a scoreless draw.

Salve Regina (3-2-2, 0-0-1 CCC) plays at Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Tuesday before returning to league action on Friday at Nichols College.
