NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University men's soccer improved to 8-0-1 with a 5-2 victory over visiting Massachusetts Maritime Academy in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon.

After sloppy play from both sides resulted in a scoreless eighteen minutes to open the game, Owen Stevenson scored twice in the matter of 32 seconds to give the Seahawks the lead and control of the match. Jacob Guerra (Colchester, Conn.) netted his first of the season in the 31st minute to give the Seahawks a 3-0 lead. The Buccaneers and Seahawks would trade goals the remainder of the game with the visitors never getting closer than within two goals at any point.
