NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University head coach Craig O'Rourke II has named Richie Leister (Navesink, N.J.), Matthew O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.), and Noah Medeiros (Dartmouth, Mass.) his captains for the 2018 men's soccer season.

"It should really come as no surprise to anyone associated with our men's soccer program that I have named Rich, Matt, and Noah as our team captains for next season," said O'Rourke.  "Each has distinguished himself in some aspect of leadership for our program and all of our current players look to them to lead.  We will need each of them to come into pre-season ready, determined, and focused if we are going to succeed on the field against our conference and non-conference opponents.  With how tight and highly competitive the Commonwealth Coast Conference has become, the margins for error are at an absolute minimum this coming fall and solid leadership can be difference between success and failure.

The Seahawks went 11-5-3 in 2017, 5-3-1 against the CCC, returning to the postseason for the first time since 2015.
