Max Beauchamp: NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference

WESTWOOD, Mass. (Wednesday, May 8, 2024) -- Senior Max Beauchamp (Saunderstown, R.I.) has been named to the men's lacrosse 2024 NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference.

In the Seahawks first year competing in the NEWMAC Beauchamp achieved 24 goals and 18 assists for a combined 42 points. He nabbed 24 ground balls and posted a shots on goal percentage of 65.8. Beauchamp joins an accomplished group of 27 All-Conference honorees, 13 of which earned a spot on the first team and 14 second team awardees.

"Max is a dynamic midfielder," said head coach Patrick Cooney. "His athleticism is evident. While always a threat to go to goal, he has tremendous vision and distributes the ball very well. In transition, he is fun to watch and hard to stop. Most importantly he is an awesome teammate, humble and supportive. Mr. Beauchamp has had a great career here in Newport, and we will miss him on and off the field."

Beauchamp achieved a hat trick on three occasions across the 2024 spring season, with the most recent being in the team's NEWMAC quarterfinal game against Wheaton College

In the Seahawks' overtime win against Emerson College, Salve Regina outsmarted the Lions following a failed clear attempt by Emerson and Beauchamp snaked his way to the net, dodging Lion defenders, to sink the game winning goal 21 seconds into the overtime period.
