Kieran Hughes - NEWMAC Face-Off Specialist of the Week // Feb. 26-Mar. 3

WESTWOOD, Mass. (Monday, March 4, 2024) – Kieran Hughes from men's lacrosse has earned Face-Off Specialist of the Week as named by the NEWMAC for the week ending March 3. 

Salve Regina men's lacrosse won their first game of the season last week against Kean University. Hughes went 19 of 24 on face-offs and picked up 12 ground balls to secure the 13-10 victory over the Cougars. 

Hughes joined the Seahawks in 2019 and has played a career 39 games, scoring four goals and providing one assist as a face-off/midfielder. He is credited with 162 ground balls and is 250 of 459 on face-offs. In 2024 he has grabbed 22 ground balls and is 33 of 49 on face-offs.
