Experienced trio make All-CCC Squad

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its 2021 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams and major award winners Thursday morning. Seven of the eight participating schools were represented on this year's list, while Salve Regina University had three honorees.

Graduate student Ethan Robson (Lincoln, R.I.) was named a second team attack while senior defenseman Marco Mongelli (Roslyn, N.Y.) and senior attack Pat Leary (Wakefield, Mass.) earned third team honors for .

"Congratulations to Ethan, Marco, and Pat. All three have had tremendous careers at Salve Regina," said head coach Patrick Cooney. "They would be the first to recognize their teammates as instrumental in their development. All three are competitors and a pleasure to coach."  

Robson, a three-time captain, crossed the 100-career point mark this season while earning his second All-CCC selection. "Ethan is a dynamic playmaker at both ends of the field," said Cooney. "His positive spirit has helped galvanize the program."  

Mongelli makes his first All-CCC squad in his senior season while leading the Seahawks defense. "Marco is a great defender," said Cooney. "He covered the top offensive players in the CCC this year. Athletic with tremendous agility, his disciplined approach to defense set a controlled aggressive standard that pushed teammates."   

Leary, the 2018 CCC Rookie of the Year, now makes his third All-CCC team in his senior season. Leary also netted 27 goals this season to become the programs new all-time leading scorer. "Pat is Passionate, he is hard to deny," said Cooney. "A born shooter, he has awesome skill sets and anticipates extremely well.   He may be the best catching attackman I have ever coached.  He is fearless around the crease and has shown grit every day I have known him." 

Voting for the All-CCC Teams and major awards was conducted by the eight participating CCC head men's lacrosse coaches following the conclusion of the regular season.
