Bio

Jeff Buvinow enters his first season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach with the men's ice hockey team in 2019-2020.

Buvinow joins the Seahawks after spending last year as an Assistant Coach with the Albany Academy Boys’ Varsity Prep team and helped the team to a 17-7-3 record. Prior to Albany Academy, Buvinow spent three seasons in the South Shore Kings organization coaching various age groups, including Juniors, U16 and U14. 

Buvinow graduated from Brown University in 2012 with a degree in Economics. A three-time All-ECAC Academic Team member, Buvinow earned First Team All-Ivy League honors in 2010 after helping the Bears to the ECAC Semifinals. In 2009 after his freshman campaign, Buvinow earned Second Team All-Ivy League and All-ECAC Rookie Team honors and was voted as the top first-year player by his teammates. Upon graduation, Buvinow played professionally for two seasons in the ECHL and CHL. Prior to Brown, he played prep school hockey at The Gunnery.

The Turnersville, N.J., native now resides in Providence, R.I.
