MIDDLETOWN, R.I.-- The Salve Regina University men's ice hockey team will hold their third annual mental health awareness night on Saturday, November 11 when the team hosts Wentworth Institute of Technology at St. George's School at 7 p.m.

The tradition began two years ago when Cayden Kraus '23 and Anthony Azzano '23 instigated the team's efforts to make the night a reality. Team captains Johnny Mulera, Garrett Szeremley, Joseph Kile and Brendan Kim have taken on event planning in 2023.

Saturday's game also serves as alumni night for the Seahawks and the team hopes alumnus will come out to support their former teammates and the cause.

This year will feature a silent auction, a ceremonial puck drop featuring Newport Mental Health and a partnership with NOSOLO. Last year the night raised over $15,000 toward mental health awareness and this year the team hopes to exceed 2022's total.

There will be a donation link and QR code provided for fans to contribute to Newport Mental Health and NOSOLO on game day.
