BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its 2021-22 Men's Ice Hockey All-Conference Teams and major award winners Thursday morning. Seth Benson (Moorhead, Minn.), Nicholas Latinovich (Vaughan, Ont.), Spencer Stanley (Green Oak, Mich.), and Mitch Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) represented Salve Regina University on the All-CCC squad.

Voting for the All-CCC Teams and major awards was conducted by the eight CCC men's ice hockey head coaches following the conclusion of the regular season.

Stanley and Walinski each earned first team All-CCC, while Latinovich was named to the second team, and Benson was named a third team forward.

Benson, a sophomore forward, boasted the best +/- in the CCC (+22), ranked third overall in goals (12), and tied for first among rookies in goal scoring.

Latinovich, a graduate-student netminder, ranked second in the CCC for saves, save percentage, and goals against average. His .931 save percentage ranks 14th in the nation.

Stanley, a junior defenseman, ranked second in the CCC for assists for defensemen (13), second in +/- for defensemen (+17), and fourth in points for defensemen (14).

Walinski, a junior forward, ranked second in the CCC in points (30) and goals (17) and 16th nationally in goals per game. Walinski is also a finalist for the Joe Concannon award given to the best Division II/III American-born hockey player in New England.

"We are so proud of these four men," said head coach Zech Klann. "These are four extremely motivated student-athletes who have dedicated themselves on and off the ice to epitomize what it means to be a Seahawk. They represent the culture and attitude of Salve Regina hockey with distinction. It is a well-deserved honor for them and this program to earn this recognition."

Salve Regina (16-7-2) earned the third seed in the CCC Tournament and will host sixth seeded Nichols College on Saturday, February 26, in the CCC Quarterfinals.
