SPRINGFIELD, MASS. - Mitch Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) scored four times, tying a program record, as the Salve Regina University men's ice hockey team set a new program record for total goals in a game as it defeated Western New England 13-3 Saturday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.
Walinski becomes just the third Seahawk to score four goals in a game, the others being Timothy O'Neill versus Castleton St., on November 30, 2003, and John Scorcia versus Western New England on November 22, 2014.
The Seahawks top the previous high-water mark for goals in a game, surpassing a 12-goal effort from 2009 versus Worcester State. It is also the second time in program history that the Seahawks have won by double-digits.
