NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior George Sennott (North Andover, Mass.) as its Player of the Week for men's ice hockey.

CCC Player of the Week - Sennott scored both game-winners in Salve Regina's home-and-home sweep of Nichols over the weekend. He had two goals in the opener, a 4-3 victory, including the deciding goal in the third period. The next day, he tipped home a pass in overtime to give the Seahawks a 3-2 decision over the Bison. He finished the week with three goals and a plus-1 rating.

"George is one of the hardest working players that I have had the pleasure to coach," said head coach Zech Klann. "He was a beast this weekend so we're very happy for him to get the recognition for that effort. I know he'll continue to work each and every day to help lead our team on and off the ice."

Salve Regina (3-2-0, 3-1-0 CCC) travels to face Wentworth on Friday, November 19 for the first game of a weekend series with the Leopards.
