SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Cayden Kraus (East St. Paul, Manitoba) as its Rookie of the Week for men's ice hockey.

Kraus registered points in each of Salve Regina's final two regular-season contests this week. He recorded one assist against Wentworth on Saturday (Feb. 22) before potting two goals and an assists against Western New England on Sunday (Feb. 23). The freshman forward had a plus-six rating this week and one of his goals came short-handed.

The Seahawks (14-10-1, 10-7-1 CCC) earned the fourth seed in the CCC touranment and will host fifth seeded Nichols College on Wednesday, February 26, at 7 p.m., in the CCC quarterfinals.
