Summary
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - The University of New England men's ice hockey team earned its second shutout in as many nights with a 9-0 victory over Salve Regina in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

Three Stars of the Game
- UNE junior Jeff Eppright (Barrington, N.J.) scored twice on the power play. His first period goal, which opened the game's scoring, proved to be the game-winner.
- UNE freshman Jake Fuss (Fairfield, Conn.) handed out four assists.
- UNE junior Ben Churchfield (Newcastle, England) made nine saves in the victory to improve to 11-3-1 in net.
Turning Point
The Seahawks penalty kill had kept the game close in the first period, by holding the second highest scoring team in the nation to 2-for-6 with the man advantage. In the second period however, the Nor'easters went 3-for-3 and scored five times to blow open the game.

- Seven different players scored for the Nor'easters.
- Tony Rehm (Madison, Wisc.) got the start in net for the Seahawks and took the loss while making 22 saves, falling to 4-2-1 between the pipes. Louis-Felix St. Jean (St. Bruno, Quebec) came on in the second period and made 16 saves.
- Tate Sproxton (Surrey, British Columbia) manned the net in the third period for the Nor'easters and recorded five saves to preserve the shutout.
