CCC Rookie of the Week: Cayden Kraus

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Cayden Kraus as its Rookie of the Week for men's ice hockey (December 2-December 8).

Kraus scored twice for the Seahawks in their 4-4 tie against Curry. Kraus' first tally of the night came in the first period and drew the game even at one. With the Colonels leading 4-3 in the waning minutes of the game, Kraus potted his second tally with 1:01 remaining in regulation to pull even once again and force overtime. Kraus scored his two goals on three shots and finished with a plus-two rating.

The Seahawks (8-1-1, 6-0-1 CCC) will next take to the ice on Tuesday, December 10, when they play 15th ranked New England College.
