Seahawks move up in national rankings

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University men's ice hockey team has been ranked 12th in the nation by USCHO.com and 13th by D3hockey.com in the latest poll.

The Seahawks advanced in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) playoffs by shutting out the nation's top scoring team, Endicott College, 1-0 this past Saturday.

Salve Regina (18-6-2, 13-3-1 CCC) will host the University of New England this Saturday, March 2, at 7 p.m., in the CCC Championship game. The winner earns the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
