MILTON, Mass. - In an ECAC Northeast Conference match-up, Curry College defeated Salve Regina University, 11-2, in men's ice hockey action on Thursday night in Milton, Mass.  The Colonels improved to 12-8-2 overall and 10-1-0 record in the ECAC Northeast, while the Seahawks fell to 5-16-0 overall and 2-9-0 in the ECAC Northeast. 

Despite the Colonels outshooting the Seahawks just 11-10, Curry was able to put up four goals in the first period.  Senior Ryan Barlock (Chicago, Ill.) scored twice in the opening frame while freshman Jordan Reed (Ajax, Ontario) and sophomore Brad Devereaux (Duxbury, Mass.) each registered one goal apiece. 

Curry added five more goals in the second period, while Salve Regina got on the board with their first goal of the contest.  Junior William Gomolinski (Western Springs, Ill.) scored for the Seahawks and was assisted by junior Jacob Hutt (Menlo Park, Calif.) and sophomore Chad Hollenshade (Lutherville, Md.). 

Curry outscored Salve Regina 2-1 in the third period to seal the 11-2 victory.  Salve Regina freshman Chad Goodwin (Whitinsville, Mass.) scored for the Seahawks, while freshmen Michael Naso (Londonderry, N.H.) and John Scorcia (Hudson, Fla.) were credited with the assists. 

Curry's Mohney earned the win in net making 23 saves.  Junior Mike McDonald (Whitby, Ontario) made seven saves to start the game, while freshman Frankie McCormick (Peabody, Mass.) finished in net for Salve Regina making 37 saves in the loss.

Salve Regina will faceoff against Western New England at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
