GENESEO, N.Y. -- The Geneseo men's hockey team scored three times in the third period, holding off a valiant comeback effort by Salve Regina to capture a 7-4 win on Friday night.

Junior Mike Cenisio (Milan, Italy) led the Seahawks with a pair of power play goals, while freshman John Scorcia (Hudson, Fla.) added two helpers in the loss. Sophomores Chad Hollenshade (Lutherville, Md.) and Chase Davis (Weathersfield, Texas) each had a goal for Salve Regina, while freshman Chad Goodwin (Whitinsville, Mass.), sophomore David Watkins (Natick, Mass.), junior Jacob Hutt (Menlo Park, Calif.), and freshman Cody Zweifel (Dallas, Texas) each contributed one assist.

Geneseo took a 2-0 lead after one period on goals by junior Ryan Bulach and Iwamoto in front of the net and extended their lead to 4-0 just 2:12 into the second frame as senior Stefan Decosse scored at the 57 second mark and Vit added the fourth goal on a pretty pass play from Iwamoto and senior Jimmy Powers.

The Seahawks rallied for a furious come back, tying the game by the end of the second period as they scored a power play goal at the 7:01 mark and then netted three straight scores during a five-minute major extra man situation.

In the third period, de Jersey scored at the 1:14 mark on a wrist shot from the top of the left circle, sophomore Rich Manley added a goal in the crease at 9:09 and junior Corbin Rosmarin won a faceoff and scored through the five-hole at 14:47 for an unassisted tally.

First year Bryan Haude made 23 saves in posting the win in nets as the Ice Knights even their record at 6-6-0. Geneseo travels to Elmira on Saturday, while the Seahawks face #10 Utica.
