Fiore, Powers power Seahawks past Pride, 82-65

MILTON, Mass. -- Salve Regina University men's basketball built a 16-point first-half lead over Regis College on Friday evening and finished with an 82-65 win on the first day of the Autism Acceptance Classic hosted by Curry College at the Katz Gymnasium. The Seahawks (2-1) face the Colonels (3-0) on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Miles Fiore and Jojo Powers combined for 46 points to lead the Seahawks over the Pride. Salve Regina shot 57.6 percent (34-for-59) from the field and 80 percent (12-for-15) from the free throw line. Declan Walmsley added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
