NEWPORT, R.I. - Colby College knocked down 12 three pointers and withstood a furious second-half comeback from the Salve Regina University men's basketball team to hang on for a 73-69 victory and improve to 6-0 on the season.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Mules drained eight threes in the first half and led 40-27 at the break.
  • Salve Regina battled back to tie the game 58-58 but a 10-0 run from the Mules gave the visitors back control of the game.
  • Mikey Spencer shot 5-20 from the field and hit nine free throws to lead all scorers with 20 points for the Seahawks.
  • Declan Walmsley chipped in 18 points as well the aid the Salve Regina scoring.
  • Noah Tyson led the Mules offense with 19 points, 17 in the first half, hitting 6-9 from the field with five threes.
