SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its all-league men's basketball team today and three Salve Regina University players were voted to the squad - seniors Jeff Bielefeld (Littleton, Mass.) and Patrick Dinneen (Medfield, Mass.), and sophomore Barrett Hanlon (Hopkinton, Mass.).

Hanlon, a first-team all-league guard in his first year with the Seahawks, is the only player in the conference to be in the top five scoring (19.0 ppg; first) and top five field goal percentage (.532; third). He started 19 of his 20 games played while the Seahawks (16-9) went 2-3 when Hanlon missed five games (Jan. 23 - Feb. 4) due to injury. One of only two sophomores on the first team (Jaylen Owens of Eastern Nazarene), Hanlon posted his first career double-double returning to the lineup in a road win against University of New England. He finished with three double-doubles in his last six games.

"Barrett Hanlon had a tremendous first year with our program," said Seahawk head coach Sean Foster. "He will be counted on to help secure our foundation as he continues to improve in our system."

Bielefeld, a second-team selection by the league's coaches, led the Seahawks in rebounding (8.9 rpg) to rank third in the league, and shared third in the league in field goal percentage (.532) with Hanlon. He averaged double-figure scoring for the first time in his career (13.5 ppg), and scored his career-high in his final regular-season game against Curry College on Saturday (24 points). Bielefeld, who had a team-best eight games where he posted double-doubles, is the second all-time rebounder at Salve Regina (and counting).

Dinneen, a third-team pick by the coaches, cracked the top five scoring in the CCC with a career-best 16.7 points per game. He became the 16th men's basketball player in school history to reach the 1,000-point milestone with a second-half 3-pointer against Roger Williams (1/25/2014); he also made the game-winning layup in the final seven seconds of that contest. In an overtime win against Endicott College (2/4/2014), Dinneen scored his career-high 26 points which included a back-breaking 3-pointer in the extra session.

"Our ability to reach three post-season tournaments (1 NCAA + 2 ECAC) in the past four years was heavily influenced by the leadership and overall effort of our seniors," noted Foster. "Jeff Bielefeld and Patrick Dinneen are well deserving of their all-conference selections and they will be missed in our program. They have set the bar high for current and future Seahawks."

Salve Regina's overtime win over Curry on Saturday secured the fourth seed for the Seahawks who host fifth-seeded Endicott tonight (7:30 p.m.).
