CCC Player of the Week: Isiah Pringle
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Salve Regina University sophomore guard Isiah Pringle (Queens, N.Y.) continued his strong play down the stretch, as he averaged 22.5 points and 3.0 rebounds for the Seahawks, winners of four straight games heading into the CCC Championship as the top seed.
Pringle, who drilled nine three-pointers in a 2-0 week for Salve Regina, opened the week with 18 points in an 85-72 victory over Nichols. He added a career-high 27 points and four rebounds in a 68-52 triumph at in-state foe Roger Williams in the regular-season finale. In two games, Pringle shot 55% from the field (17-of-31), 47% from long range (9-of-19), and was perfect on two free throws. In each of the season's final 11 games, Pringle has scored in double figures, while averaging 19.0 points per contest.
Salve Regina (17-9; 15-3 CCC) hosts Western New England (9-17; 6-12 CCC) in first-round action of the conference championships on Tuesday (8 p.m.).
