NFHCA names 12 Seahawks to the 2023 Division III National Academic Squad

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. -- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association added 12 Seahawk field hockey athletes to the 2023 Division III National Academic Squad as announced on Wednesday, February 14.
Salve Regina's honorees accompany 1783 total athletes and 154 institutions receiving the honor. The NFHCA academic squad program annually recognizes college undergraduate student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher throughout the fall semester of the current year together with coaches' nominations.

"Our coaching staff continues to be proud of the focus and effort our team shows in the classroom," said head coach Jennifer Foster. "The 12 individual players recognized for this award are strong examples that you can be successful on the field and in the classroom. A special acknowledgement goes out to the four seniors (Elizabeth Clark, Lauren Foster, Maeve Ledwith and Ashley Lefebvre) who have been honored for four straight seasons. This is an honor we know they have worked hard for and are very deserving of."
