Kennedy earns NFHCA Division III All-Region honor

GENEVA, N.Y. (Wednesday, November 29, 2023) -- Shannon Kennedy from Seahawk field hockey has earned NFHCA Division III All-Region recognition on the Region I Second Team. 

As a senior forward from Royersford, Pennsylvania Kennedy served as a team captain for the 2023 season and was recognized on the NEWMAC Field Hockey Second Team All-Conference. 

During the 2023 season Kennedy played in all 16 games, made 14 goals and had ten assists for 38 points. Kennedy has a career total of 48 games played, 26 goals, 14 assists and 66 points. 

"To be recognized with other top talent in the region is a great way for Shannon to end her senior season," said head coach Jennifer Foster. "Shannon was a threat on our forward line all season and to see her efforts recognized regionally is an honor her and our team are very proud of."

Kennedy joins a group of over 190 student athletes on the NFHCA Division III All-Region teams and just 16 athletes on the Region I Second Team. Selections are made based on nominations from coaches with active NFHCA memberships.
