SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 7, 2019) -- The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University sophomore Eliza Timms (Agawam, Mass.) as its offensive player of the week for field hockey (Sept. 30 - Oct. 6).

Offensive Player of the Week - Timms was the Seahawks' leading scorer during a 2-0 week against conference opponents. She opened the week with three goals in a 6-1 CCC road victory against Gordon on Wednesday (Oct. 2) before turning around for a five-point game (one goal, three assists) against Roger Williams, a 4-3 win. In total, Timms scored 11 points for the week and currently leads the conference in both goals and points.

"Eliza had a break out week for us in two conference wins," said 13th-year head coach Jennifer Foster. "She works well with her fellow forwards in creating and finishing goal scoring opportunities."

The Seahawks (7-3, 3-2 CCC) resume action at Gaudet Field when they host Nichols College on Tuesday evening (6 p.m.). Salve Regina looks for its seventh straight win at home in 2019.
