Summary
The Salve Regina University field hockey team added two goals late to pull away from visiting UMass Dartmouth to win its season opener 6-3.

The Seahawks were holding just a one-goal lead with 6:40 left to play when Amber Cody scored her second goal of the game on a feed from Erin Gendreau. The goal gave the Seahawks some breathing room, but they did not let up. The Seahawks made sure the Corsairs could would not rally by possessing the ball and running out the clock. Gendreau added her second goal with 18 seconds left to seal the game.
