Newport, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University junior punter Brian Johnson (New Milford, N.J.) as its Special Teams Player of the Week for football (Week ending Sep. 5).

Special Teams Player of the Week - The field position game was important in Salve Regina's 21-16 victory over MIT this weekend. A key contributor to the position battle was Johnson who punted four times for 146 yards. His longest boot of the game went for 52 yards.

Salve Regina (2-0) travels to face Montclair State on Saturday, September 18, in another non-conference matchup.
