LAST TIME OUT: The Salve Regina University football team topped 40 points for the second straight week, downing Endicott College 47-34 in a shootout at Hempstead Stadium in the final game of the regular season Saturday afternoon.

- ALL-CCC: Salve Regina's John Salute (Mahwah, N.J.) was named both the Defensive Player and Defensive Lineman of the Year, while the Seahawks' Joey Mauriello(Colts Neck, N.J.) was the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Nine other Seahawks were named to the All-Conference squad. Joining Salute on the first-team are Brendan Nunes(Attleoro, Mass.), Matt Sylvia (East Greenwich, R.I.), and Brandon O'Neil (Madison, Conn.). Along with his Rookie of the Year honors Mauriello was named to the second-team alongside Charlie Connell (Oradell, N.J.), Tyler D'Errico (Chesire, Conn.), Ryan Lawton (Washington Township, N.J.), Matt Messner (Midland Park, N.J.), Michael Saunders (Westwood, N.J.), and Andrew Verre (Wethersfield, Conn.).

- LAST TIME OUT FOR BRIDGEWATER: Senior wide receiver Jack Lavanchy (Walpole, Mass.) earned Lee Harrington Most Valuable Player honors to lead the Bridgewater State University football team to a 21-7 victory over visiting Massachusetts Maritime Academy in the 40th Annual Cranberry Bowl Presented By Ocean Spray on Saturday afternoon at Swenson Field.
- The Bears' last postseason game was a 33-27 overtime loss at Alfred in 2016. The last win came in the ECAC North Atlantic Bowl in 2006, a 41-22 victory at Coast Guard.
- Bridgewater State has not hosted a postseason game since losing to Alfred, 41-10, in the ECAC Northeast Bowl in 2011.
- Salve Regina and Bridgewater State last met on opening night of the 2014 season when the Seahawks won, 33-27, at Swenson Field. They also defeated the Bears to open the 2013 season, 36-7, in Rhode Island.
