NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina sophomore Phil Terio (Trumbull, Conn.) has been announced as a member of the 2012 D3football.com All-America Team at two positions. Terio was named to the third team as a corner back and fourth team as a return specialist.

Terio had a historic season for the Seahawks this year, tying the NCAA Division III records for interceptions returned for touchdowns (4) and total touchdown returns (6) in a single season, while his seven interceptions on the year rank second all-time at Salve Regina. Prior to being selected to the D3football.com All-America Team, Terio was also named to the BSN All-America Team, D3football.com All-East Region Team, the Division II-III All-New England Team, and the NEFC All-Boyd Division First Team, while also being honored as the NEFC Boyd Division Defensive Player and Return Specialist of the Year.

He is the only player in the country to appear on the 2012 D3football.com All-America Team at more than one position.

Most importantly, Terio helped lead the Seahawks to their first Boyd Division title since 2000.
