NEWPORT, R.I. (Tuesday, April 16, 2024) - Salve Regina University senior right hander Brayden Clark (Beverly, Mass.) earned his second win (W, 2-0) of the season in his eighth start as the Seahawks defeated the Cougars of Clark University, 7-5, in NEWMAC action at Reynolds Field in Newport. #7 Salve Regina (22-4, 9-1 NEWMAC) gets the better of Clark (17-12, 2-8 NEWMAC) for the second time in a week; last Tuesday in Worcester, Mass., Salve Regina won 13-5.

All-Time Series: Seahawks sweep the season series (first as fellow NEWMAC members) and improve to 10-3-1 all-time against the Cougars. First meeting was in 1985, an 11-10 win for Salve Regina.

Matt D'Amato stepped to the plate and launch an opposite field home run, his second of the season, for the 4-0 lead.   • B5 - Matt D'Amato led off with a single to center field and one out later stole second before coming home on a misplayed infield grounder. Brady Smolinski's double to left center plated Wil McCarthy. | Seahawks 7, Cougars 1
