WASHINGTON, D.C. (Saturday, February 24, 2024) - Salve Regina University baseball kept clawing back from two-run and one-run deficits with three scoring frames that tied the game each time, but a four-run eighth inning clinched a 9-5 victory for Stockton University in a non league meeting at Talbot Field in the Matt Kurkjian ALS Awareness Invitational hosted by Catholic University of America.

Michael Breen (Auburn, Mass.) and Hunter Yaworski (Brooklyn, Conn.) both collected a pair of hits, including a double for the senior shortstop. Wil McCarthy (Pembroke, Mass.) scored two runs for the Seahawks. Shane Williams (Georgetown, Mass.) drove in two runs -- first on a sacrifice fly and later on an infield grounder.

Seahawks were hampered by five fielding errors and a couple of passed balls.
