NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University baseball pitcher Dominic Perachi (Washington Depot, Conn.) has earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week and Pitcher of the Week from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) for his spectacular start to the 2022 season.

Perachi began the 2022 season with an immaculate first inning, and he went on to strike out 16 over seven shutout innings. Along with these honors Perachi also earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week.

"Dom was outstanding from the get go and really set a tone for the weekend," said associate head coach Andrew McKeon. "He did all of the little things you need to as a pitcher to give the team a chance to win and it resulted in more than a quality start. He competed with confidence and threw the ball with conviction and when a guy like him does that, he's really tough to get to."
