CCC Pitcher of the Week: Brett Wilkes

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University junior Brett Wilkes (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) as its Pitcher of the Week for baseball (April 30 - May 6).

CCC Pitcher of the Week - Wilkes only threw 1 2/3 innings this week, but they were big ones. He allowed just one hit and struck out two as he earned his first save of the season. He finished off a 3-2 win over Gordon, which was a must-win for Salve Regina to clinch the No. 1 seed in the CCC Tournament.

Salve Regina (24-13, 12-4 CCC) hosts Endicott College on Monday afternoon in a championship pod final.
