Colby named ECAC New England All Star

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Junior Tyler Colby (Easton, Conn.) added to his postseason awards as he was named to the 2013 Eastern Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England All-Stars first team, as announced by the conference office.

Colby helped the Salve Regina basesball team to its second most wins in a season (29) and a trip to the 2013 Commonwealth Coast Conference championship tournament. Colby, a first team designated hitter selection, led the league in batting average (.420) with 11 of his 50 hits going for extra bases (10 doubles, one triple). He ranked 10th in the league with 32 runs batted in and scored 26 runs in addition to swiping 10 bases.

The DH also earned a spot on the D3baseball.com All-New England second team as well as being named the CCC first team designated hitter.
