The first game started off with Principia not having much luck against the Seahawk's defensive players and having no hits in the first inning; Salve Regina however, had exactly the opposite. Freshman Ryan Kelly (Waldwick, N.J.) was the first player to get on base by getting hit by a pitch. Kelly was also the first run of the game by getting sent home by junior Dan Donohue (Westbury, N.Y.) hitting his first double of the game. Haley got on base by fielder's choice and advanced to third while Donohue scored because of junior Dominic Di Sano (Central Falls, R.I.) hit a double. Haley and Di Sano were sent home from Salvatore Cumella hitting a single. These were Cumella's first two RBI's of the game.

The Seahawks did not let up in the second inning only giving one hit to the Panthers from senior Robert Barnacle (Wayland, Mass.). The Seahawks at bats started of with sophomore Sean Becker (Richmond, VA) and Kelly got on base and was later sent home by Donohue's second double of the game. Haley advanced to third and freshman Ryan Sweenor (South Kingstown, R.I.) scored another run by Di Sano hitting a single. Haley scored another run, along with Di Sano all thanks to Cumella hitting another single and got 2 more RBI's in this game.

The third inning went by quickly for both teams with neither scoring. The Panthers had sophomore Christian Thomas (Chesterfield, MO) on base due to an error who later got out trying to steal second base. Sean Becker of the Seahawks hit a single which was the only person on base for the team.

The Seahawks picked up their game again in the fourth inning, again not letting up any runs to the Panthers. Junior Stephen Crawford (Barrington, R.I.) and Cumella were the first two Seahawls on base and were sent home from a double hit by freshmen Mike Johnston (Bedford Hills, N.Y.). Johnston scored on the next single by Becker.

Principia scored during the fifth inning by junior Spencer Clevenger (Chesterfield, MO). Clevenger got on base by hitting a double, advanced to third by a passed ball and later scored from C. Thomas. This was an RBI for C. Thomas.

Five runs were scored by the Seahawks in the fifth inning. Donohue stole second base after hitting a single and freshman Matt Marchica (Westminster, VT) went in for Sweenor. Donohue and Marchica scored off of a double by Crawford. Crawford's hit also advanced Di Sano to third base after previously getting hit by a pitch. Di Sano scored on the next hit by Cumella's single. Cumella then earned his fifth RBI of the game. Johnston got another hit, this time a single which sent Crawford and Cumella home and achieved 2 RBI's.

Kelly scored from Dan Donohue hitting a single then advancing to second base after an error from the left fielder. Harris' hit sent both Marchica and Dell'Anno to score and moved Conte to third base. Cianci then walked and advanced to second when there was an error of Kelly's hit by the Panther's shortstop. The error also advanced Harris to third base and Conte got yet another run for Salve Regina. Donohue grounded out to second base but got 2 RBI's when Harris and Cianci scored and Kelly advanced to third base. Di Sano and Haley both walked. Haley's walk was an RBI because Cianci scored. Di Sano advanced to third off of a passed ball and Kelly scored again. Di Sano scored after a single by Dell'Anno. Sophomore Mark Boland (Orange, Conn.) went to first base for Marchica.
