Quinn picks up second TCCC Pitcher of the Week award
NEWPORT, R.I. - Senior Patrick Quinn (Middleton, N.J.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season. He shared the honor with P.J. Gouthro of Roger Williams.
Quinn tossed a four-hit shutout against Endicott in a key conference game on Saturday afternoon. In seven innings of work, Quinn walked three and struck out five to improve to 4-1 on the season and lower his earned run average (ERA) to 3.16.
Three weeks ago, Quinn garnered the same honor after throwing a one-hit, complete game shutout of Colby-Sawyer. On the season, Quinn has allowed 27 hits and struck out 32 batters in 37 innings.
The Seahawks return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Wenham, Mass. for a 2 p.m. doubleheader at Gordon.
