WEDNESDAY (Feb. 7)

Women's basketball hosts Springfield College at 7 p.m. at the Rodgers Recreation Center. Briana Neary '24 (21 points) and Sofia Neary '26 (16 rebounds) drove the 23-point win over Wheaton last week. The Lyons had a short-lived lead early in the day but after 3:48 and a 14-14 tie the Seahawks pulled ahead and by the end of the first half it was 35-27. Salve Regina went on a six-point run to start the third quarter and continued to plow forward. With ten minutes left to play it was a three-possession game, but after only missing three shots in the fourth quarter the Seahawks quashed the Lyons 81-58. The Seahawks played again on Saturday, February 3, finishing ten points behind Wellesley College for a 70-60 final score.

FRIDAY (Feb. 9)

Men's ice hockey will be at Suffolk University at 6 p.m. Last week the team faced the Curry College Colonels twice and fell 6-1 on the first occurrence and 4-0 the following day. On Friday, February 2, it was a 0-0 game after 20 minutes, but Colonels' Matt Connor and Ben Biester scored consecutively in the first 2:15 of the second period. Five minutes later Matthew Fawcett got Salve Regina on the board (from Parker Mabbett) but Curry's defensive unit put a stop to any more Seahawk scoring.

Suffolk will be in Middletown for a 7:30 women's ice hockey puck drop at the Cabot-Harman Ice Center. The Seahawks saw Curry College on Friday, February 2, and Western New England University on Saturday, February 3, last week. Curry thwarted Salve Regina 6-1, only giving up one goal (Riley Esposito from Taylor Stirling). The following day, it was Emily Wroblewski (from Ashtyn Bringardner) who sent the puck flying above WNE's netminder into the left side of the goal, however the Golden Bears secured the 4-1 win.
